Full Biography
Hey y'all! My name is Elisenda Asencio-MacMartin, and I currently work and live in the Bay Area (and am a San Francisco native... Go Wash House!). I am a Mental Health Clinician by day in a Psychiatric Emergency Room, and in the evenings, from the comfort of my home, I am a Psychotherapist who works with adult women via Telehealth.

Quick rewind! Upon finishing high school here in San Francisco, I took a detour from my education and became an NFL cheerleader for the San Francisco 49ers for a season, which was the experience of a lifetime and an opportunity that I am so grateful to have experienced. Following that season of cheerleading, I completed my Associate's Degree at City College of San Francisco, my Bachelor's degree at California State University, LA, and my Master's degree at New York University.

I have a strong passion for people and ALL of the things that make us who we are. The north star of my career has always been understanding and helping others in any way that I can. I am so incredibly excited to be a part of Her Idea and can't wait to connect with the community that we have built and will continue to build!
