WHAT WE DO
Her Idea provides a mentorship program to young women where they pursue an idea or passion as a real world project. We give them the power to learn what and how they want, access to funding for their project, and a mentor to encourage them along the way. We help them develop their creative, entrepreneurial, and leadership skills for college and career and beyond.
COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS
Her Idea also supports high school students in college and career readiness through collaboration with school programs and one-to-one mentoring. We focus on building student confidence in professional communication and networking, time management, financial literacy, and goal setting. We work with junior and senior Capstone classes to create a personal year-long real-world project where they develop entrepreneurial, networking and leadership skills through actual experience.
Highlights from the 2021 Pitch Event
The Pitch Event empowered youth by providing the space to present their real world project ideas and ask the community for support needed to pursue their ideas. We found mentors for the students and raised money for their projects which serve our entire community and help build the leaders of tomorrow. Couldn't make it in person? Good news!
